How We Work
The public relations practice of Ben-Abraham Associates does not ask clients to sign long-term agreements. We work month-to-month with clients, under two assumptions:
- We are compelled to prove our worth every month.
- We never want a client to feel confined to a relationship. It's worth noting that we have worked month-to-month with certain clients for close to two decades.
Virtually all of our client relationships are on a retainer fee basis. These relationships are not limited to a predetermined, maximum number of hours. We do not "run the meter," and will provide as many hours as we practically can every month to meet a client’s needs and get the job done right. While there may be months where this is not a profitable approach for us, our experience suggests that this policy builds strong and long-lasting relationships.
It is our intent to create a bond with clients that transcends basic service delivery. For BAA, this means we will:
- Make ourselves available to as great an extent as possible.
- Encourage a high level of worthy public relations activity. It is rare for more than a few days to pass without our engaging in a discussion with a client about an idea or opportunity.
- Respectfully solicit insights, ideas and opinions from our clients.
- Make a concerted effort to use our clients’ time efficiently.
- Always provide clients with our candid advice, even if we understand that our perspective may be counter to a client’s point-of-view.
